Piece description from the artist
While working on this painting, I wanted it to have a depth of color in the blue hue. I used a type of chalk to create some of the white areas you see in the middle of this piece, giving it a serene feel.
Jacqueline Evans is a visual artist who lives and works in Vermont. Her work has been exhibited widely throughout Pennsylvania, New York, and Vermont. Using oil and cold wax as an anchor to her work, she begins with graphite, then defines. The viewer will note hints of her mark making intermingled in the works enhanced by the transparency of her pallet.
