The iconic Pendleton Barn at the historic Gifford Homestead in Fruita, Utah, located within Capitol Reef National Park. While most photos are taken from the more common front-facing view, I captured this angle to showcase the barn’s open entryway and its rustic wooden rail fencing. Nestled beneath a towering red rock formation, the barn sits within the 200-acre Fruita Rural Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's fascinating to find a working fruit farm right in the middle of the desert. The Gifford Farm is world-renowned for its fresh pies and cinnamon rolls. We tried one of the rolls, and it was absolutely delicious!
