Baby Bat

Piece description from the artist

This little bat is doing what he does best, hanging upside down waiting on the sun to set. He is a baby fruit bat, and was born in Borneo. He and his colony like dark, cool places that smell like earth. The drawing was originally done in my sketchbook with pen and ink. I was inspired to draw a portrait of this little bat when I toured the Lewis and Clark Caverns in Montana, and despite there not being bats on the tour, there was some flying around the areas where we camped nearby. I researched them and found their features interesting.
