In ancient Rome, Augur was a religious official who observed signs of nature and animals to interpret these as an indication of divine approval or disapproval of proposed actions.
Original painting has a grain surface due to powdered coffee to add more texture and depth.
Multi-paneled painting is mounted on stretchers (0.9″ depth); ready to be hanged on the wall (no frame). Two pieces can be placed on the wall with a gap in between. Sold as a diptych: two parts.
