Aspen Ideals

Piece description from the artist

From a conceptual collection I created, "Aspen Ideals" responds to the human urge to experience naturally defined form for the sake of well being. Why do we feel good when we look at natural form? Stripped to their visual root, wintering Colorado aspens reveal simple and authentic line and form that responds to a human need for peaceful stimuli. Like the synapses that literally connect our thoughts, aspens splay across a whitened sky, responding to our primitive need for a quiet, peace of mind. Taken near Durango, Colorado in the San Juan Range of the Rocky Mountains.
