Aspen glow 3

Aspen Glow

Piece description from the artist

I was driving to Maroon Bells, the two peaks in the mountains south of Aspen, Colorado at approx. 14,000 feet. There was a lake I wanted to see, at the bottom of the Bells. I looked to my left, and here was this wonderful, extended line of bare aspen tree trunks, and peeking though behind them, was this mass of a second row of trees still full with glowing aspen leaves that had not fallen to the ground yet. I was intrigued by the glow and felt fortunate to be able to see the play between the tree rows, and the leaves, which could fall to the ground any minute.
