After the Divide - Light III

Piece description from the artist

After the Divide – Light III presents a close study of sculptural geometry translated into photographic form. Smooth circular structures intersect across a soft field of light, creating a composition that balances openness and structure. Subtle tonal shifts and surface textures reveal the forms' dimensional origins while maintaining a quiet, minimal presence.

The restrained palette and flowing geometry introduce brightness and calm without overwhelming a space. The image works well within contemporary interiors where neutral tones, architectural lines, and balanced composition support a refined focal point.

About Ava Bock

Eugene, OR

Ava Bock is an abstract artist working across sculpture, drawing, and material-based wall works. Her practice centers on modular systems, restrained compositions, and the physical qualities of materials, resulting in work that balances structure with visual calm. She earned a BFA in Sculpture from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, with additional training in photography and visual design. Ava’s work often incorporates sustainable materials, including bio-resins and recycled substrates, reflecting a long-term commitment to environmentally conscious making. Influenced by the Light and Space movement and the principles of perceptual experience, her work is designed to quietly interact with architecture rather than dominate it. Through repetition, rhythm, and subtle variation, her pieces support spaces intended for focus, pause, and reflection. Ava lives and works in Oregon.
