Exploring the dramatic interplay of light and fluid motion, this vertical seascape captures sunset backlighting a violent wave crash. Warm golden rays illuminate the fine droplets like spun glass, framing the wet, textured rock face in brilliant amber and orange hues. Cool blue shadows in the water foreground balance the intense warmth of the illuminated spray and distant hills.
From the smallest details of macro to the vast panorama of a landscape, with a quick stop off at many subjects in between, Rick's passion for detail and capturing the moment has inspired him to shoot many different genres. He enjoys traveling to different parts of the world and will take his camera, even on work trips. More recently, he has been practicing creating artistic renditions of his photograph.
