Susan Peters is originally from Woodstock, New York and has always been creating something. From the early years of finger-painting on rocks in the creek bed behind her grandmother’s house to present. After a long hiatus from painting, Susan returned to painting originally as a cold weather hobby, but after creating the first acrylic painting, she was immediately hooked again. Susan started looking at everything around her closely noticing details, colors, shapes, light, and shadows.
Susan enjoys using bright colors in her work and enjoys painting a variety of subject matter, as well as using varied techniques. Depending on her mood, Susan can go from painting flowers and animals, to abstract figures, flow art, and resin. Susan also enjoys learning new mediums such as alcohol ink and encaustic.
To date, Susan has displayed her art throughout North Carolina. Susan also has pieces in private collections in California, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Virginia, New York, Alabama, and Tennessee. Susan also has several pieces in corporate collections to include SAS Institute and Iconitel in North Carolina.
Susan also enjoys riding her Tennessee Walking Horse, Willie, and traveling with her family.
