Susan Kaufman began drawing when she was in the third grade. She always loved to create and would always spend her free time doodling and drawing. At first, Susan was attracted to fashion design but then got caught up with academics, her career and her family. As a result, Susan's art career began later, about twenty years ago when she found the time to pursue art. Susan holds a Bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology and a Master's in social work. Today, she is married with two sons and two grandsons.
Susan has studied painting and drawing with many acclaimed artists, both in the United States and abroad in Italy. When she moved from California to Miami, Susan was admitted into the "Bakehouse Art Complex":http://www.bacfl.org and painted there for five years. Since then, she has had several one-woman exhibitions in Florida and New York, as well as many group exhibits in California, Florida, and New York.
Susan considers her art to be an expression of my inner self and color and form are very important in her work; each blank canvas is waiting for her to explore what bubbles forth on that particular day.
