I spent a lot of time as a kid drawing. The drawing process was both a means of escape and a "in the moment" activity to focus on. Not a great high school student I chose a college that had an art program as that was the only thing I got good grades in. Somewhere along the line in collage I got interested in cololr and began to paint more than draw and took as many painting classes as my schedule allowed. In grad school I majored in art ed. and spent my career as a high school art teacher.
I continued painting during my teaching career and have had my work accepted into Internatiopnal, National and Regional juried exhibitions in 6 states to date. I continue to be humbled at how much there is to learn about painting
