Jp Migneco

JP Migneco (1989- ) is an artist who lives and works in Malta. Migneco completed a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Digital Arts degree at the University of Malta before recently completing his first solo exhibition in Valletta.

The works that Migneco produces focus primarily on drawing, painting and digital media. His work process involves research, planning and experimentation, due to his interest in bringing different subjects together in order to create a form of interdisciplinary art.

Migneco’s work tends to revolve around ideas related to landscape painting, geometry and colour theory. It incorporates a method of reinterpreting images of symbolic objects and locations through the use of illusory colour patterns which are often derived from notions related to modern art, physics, geology and digital technology.
