Joy Yagid

Joy Yagid has been shooting since she was 8 years old and borrowed her dad's Kodak Brownie.

While many of the images from her early years are lost to time (not a bad thing!), she has steadily improved and built on her craft. She is completely self taught with only informal education and trial and error to guide her. While her past career was in a related field, video production and post production, the economic downturn of 2007 and subsequent layoff, handed her an opportunity that couldn't be turned down.

She decided to live her unlived life.

While photographing events and people pay the bills, photographing nature and abstracts feeds her soul.
