Catherine Howe

Catherine Howe is a pastel artist living in New England. She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. She worked as a fashion illustrator, graphic designer, and as an art
director at various advertising agencies in the Midwest.
She loves the challenge of portraying the relationship between the shifting atmospheres and the constant changes between the sea and sky. She loves pastels because of their rich colors and pigments.
Catherine is inspired by color, light and shadows and the ever-changing New England Landscape. She is an associate member of the Pastel Society of America and is active in other pastel societies. She was recently awarded Best Representational Artist at a show at the Attleboro Art Museum.
