Multi-talented artist Aline Cantrell McCracken was born at Stuttgart, Arkansas. She received a B.F.A. degree from the Memphis College of art and M.F.A. degree from Ole Miss. She has taught art at all levels, from kindergarten to graduate school. Aline now lives in the Ozark Mountains of North Arkansas where her favorite subjects are landscapes which include old structures. A goal of hers is to record as much of the history of the area as possible through her paintings.
She has exhibited her work in several states and won many prizes in competitions. Aline is primarily a water colorist, but is also a recognized sculptor. Her other works include oil paintings, drawings and collages.
