Alan Scherer is an award-winning photographer, fitness fanatic, and most importantly a survivor of Bipolar Disorder who speaks about his battle with mental illness so that others may recognize the signs in others or seek help for themselves. He is also over 3 years Sober from Alcohol and works to help other in short term, and long term recovery but, especially those who may not have the strength to ask for help yet. He is a passionate story-teller and has had his work exhibited in museums around the world as well as in such publications as Runner's World magazine.
