Wooden Bridge To Jolly Mill Grayscale

Piece description from the artist

This scenic black and white view captures the historic Jolly Mill and the charming Tal Wooten Covered Bridge in Pierce City, Missouri, United States, on a beautiful fall afternoon in the Ozarks. In this composition, the mill and bridge sit to the right, with the clear spring water flowing beneath the bridge and curving to the side. Part of the landscape is reflecting on the water. The trees reflect the peaceful charm of the countryside on the stream. Built in 1848, the Jolly Mill remains a remarkable testament to 19th-century craftsmanship, having survived the Civil War even after the town was destroyed. Today, both the mill and surrounding park have been restored, with period buildings relocated to recreate the historic town of Jollification, Missouri. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this site is a cherished piece of Ozark history and a favorite spot for photographers and nature lovers alike.
