Piece description from the artist
I have a series of paintings that I have done with acrylic paint and instead of a brush I use a toothpick or skewer to apply the paint to the canvas. I have been trying a new technique, magnifying my original toothpick paintings and then photographing them. In the case of this piece I then took the magnified photo and manipulated it digitally on the computer.

I WROTE THE POEM ABOVE AS I SIT HERE IN MY QUEENS CHAIR. VIEWED BY MY SWOLLEN TEAR DRIED EYES, TRYING TO WRITE A SYNOPSIS OF MY EXISTENCE. MY ART, MY STUDIO ARE LAYERS OF MY LIFE, MY PURPOSE. I AM HERE TO SPARK EMOTION THROUGH MY CREATIONS. I AM HERE TO INSPIRE CREATIVITY WITHIN ALL. I CREATE WITH MY FEELINGS. AND ONLY ASK THAT MY ART CREATE AN EMOTION WITHIN YOU.
