Piece description from the artist
Winter arrives in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. The grass in Moraine Park turns to gold, The elk have moved to lower ground. The high country turns cold and white. This is the stormy beauty of the changing season in the park.
After a career as a photographer and visuals editor in newspapers, I decided to focus on documenting the natural world. I hope my images can not only bring others joy but also create a better understanding of the beauty and life around us.
During my career, my photos have been published in regional and national magazines including National Geographic Traveler, U.S. News & World Report, New Mexico Magazine, Popular Science, and Albuquerque Monthly; and in books and calendars by National Geographic Books, Falcon Press, Rio Nuevo Press, Sierra Press, Landmark, Sierra Club and others.
