Piece description from the artist
I bring my Nikon FM2 with me almost everywhere I go, even to the dentist (it's my "comfort piece" at times!) Returning to work after minor dental surgery one hot August mid-afternoon in Boston's Back Bay, crossing Comm Ave. (Commonwealth Avenue), I saw this young fellow at a ground-level window of what I still assume was his house. The gates were shut, and he was in a hurry. Two young ladies were inside, assisting him. The youngest put her hand out in a gesture of protest, yelling at me to stop photographing them. I did. There are three frames of this scene…and I'll leave you to decide if this fellow is scrambling in, or hurrying out.
I work mainly in series form, and you review them at https://www.flickr.com/photos/ananda/albums.
Ken Heyman, Eugene Atget, James Nachtwey, and Mary Ellen Mark are my photographic mentors; and I seek to photograph as beautifully as Lord Dunsany wrote
