This painting depicts the windmills of La Mancha, inspired by the story of Don Quixote. The scene shows the mills standing against a deep blue sky, with warm tones of the landscape below. It’s a piece that reflects a connection to literature and Spanish culture. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
