Piece description from the artist
I love to see (and draw) simple weeds and wildflowers in their environment, still growing and thriving. Their colors and patterns are always marvelous- especially close up. My paintings are based on my observation and response to their beauty.

Silvers draws and paints. The focus of her work changes with her life. Political/activist paintings are a visual diary of her social activism/ participation in democracy . City Views derived from looking from her balcony. The Jazz series results from listening and drawing at Jam Sessions; Nature-based paintings grew out of years of walking on trails and sitting in streams. The common thread her experience.
