Piece description from the artist
A black and white photograph as the sun dips toward the horizon. A radiant sunburst breaks through the clouds beside a rock formation, casting light over the otherworldly landscape of White Pocket in Arizona, United States. Like something from another planet, this surreal destination is often compared to Mars. It features swirling patterns, bulbous formations, and wave-like textures sculpted from sandstone. Tucked away near the Utah border within the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument on the rugged Paria Plateau, the scene is painted in stunning layers. This remote natural wonder, accessible only by high-clearance 4WD vehicles, is a breathtaking testament to the artistry of nature unlike anything else on Earth.
