A beautiful fall season afternoon at Jolly Mill in Pierce City, Missouri, USA. A natural spring creek runs in front of the mill as a little wooden covered bridge crosses over it. The colorful trees cast shadows along the green grass as a few white clouds float above in the sky. Built in 1848, the wooden mill is a remarkable testament to skilled craftsmanship and durability, having survived the Civil War even after the surrounding town was burned. Today, the mill and its surrounding grounds have been thoughtfully restored and transformed into a park, with historic buildings relocated from other areas to recreate the look and feel of the former town of Jollification, Missouri. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Jolly Mill remains a cherished Ozarks landmark.
