For this artwork, I photographed a surfer on the waves at Seal Beach in Orange County, California on 35mm film, then took the film and soaked it in chemicals for a groovy, psychedelic color effect before sending it to the lab to be developed and scanned.
Liz Glenn is a Michigan native turned California girl. She has always had an affinity for film photography, but her career skyrocketed when she relocated to the sunny golden state as she's become an internationally known artist and has been featured in many reputable magazines and blogs and taught at a renowned photography conference in Santa Barbara in 2020. She currently lives with her partner and daughter and is living back in her mother roots tending Sauk land in Bay City.
