Water Adventure Through Antelope Canyon Vertical

I captured this vertical photograph during an early morning boat ride through the majestic sandstone cliffs of Antelope Canyon on Lake Powell near Page, Arizona, USA. The tall composition emphasizes the impressive height of the canyon walls as they tower over the calm water. A few kayakers paddle between the cliffs, giving you a sense of scale against the massive formations. The peaceful water reflects the warm cream, orange, and deep red tones of the sandstone, along with the blue sky overhead.

I love how this water side view reveals an entirely different perspective of Antelope Canyon than the famous slot canyon hike. The soft morning light brings out the flowing curves, layered textures, and intricate patterns in the sandstone, showcasing the remarkable beauty of this desert landscape.

Located in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Lake Powell was formed after the construction of Glen Canyon Dam on the Colorado River. Seeing deep blue water winding through these towering red rock cliffs is something cool to experience. The combination of peaceful water, dramatic canyon walls, and colorful desert scenery creates a breathtaking view that captures the unique character of the American Southwest.
