Washed Seas

Piece description from the artist

As a professional artist, interior and textile designer for more than two decades, l have cultivated an extensive list of devoted supporters. My work displays prominently in a wide variety of settings—from celebrity homes and corporate lobbies to commercial and hospitality sites internationally.

A native of New York, I have exhibited internationally from San Diego to Boston and London to Beijing. In 2008-2011 I was selected as the American Artist Representative for an exhibition in Baghdad, Iraq. My career has skyrocketed from there.

Over the years, I have shown at Art Basel Miami, Las Vegas Art & Frame, Highpoint Market and many other notable events. My work has appeared in the Danish Magazine X-Ray, Florida Design, Boston Yacht Club Magazine, Studio Visit Magazine as well as many other publications, tv shows and commercials. I am represented by reputable galleries while my prints and textiles are sold by vendors internationally.

I currently live and work in beautiful St. Petersburg, Florida where inspiration is at every turn.

About Margaret Juul

Saint Petersburg, FL

I specialize in teaming up with reputable Galleries, Art Consultants, Interior Designers, and Architects to create and sell unique art, textiles or specialty decor for curated spaces.

In addition, I offer residential, commercial grade fabrics and wallpaper. Printed works are available on paper, canvas and alternative substrates such as metal and wood. For something outside the box, my patterns are printed on scarves, blouses and dresses.

'Tumbling underneath waves amidst effervescent aqua tones, my compositions are fresh and original expressions of the colors and patterns of water in motion. I use my imagination to distill the kinetic essence of something never at rest.

Irregular shapes of green and blue cover the canvas, reminiscent of the brilliant marine hues that convey water in 19th century Japanese woodblock prints.

Close inspection reveals rough, textured surfaces from the thick application of media on linen, including oil, acrylic and oil pastel, reiterating the earthly and organic nature of my subject.
