Piece description from the artist
This image, captured along the shores of Bowman Lake in Glacier National Park, I aimed to evoke the quiet enchantment of stepping onto a secluded forest trail as morning light filters softly through the dense evergreen canopy. The gentle curve of the dirt path draws the eye deeper into the verdant wilderness, where ethereal sunbeams illuminate the lush undergrowth and towering pines. This piece invites the viewer to slow down, breathe in the stillness of the woods, and embrace the sense of wonder that comes from wandering off the beaten path, and the healing power of the forest.
Annie was born and raised in Montana, growing up on her family's ranch in the beautiful Smith River Valley. Growing up in Montana's wild and beautiful Landscape led to her deep love of nature and all things rural. Annie attended the Art Institute of Colorado and lived in Denver Colorado until the completion of her Interior Design degree in 2002. After working in that field for several years, Annie moved back to Montana and began her own business, focusing on her ever-growing love of photography. She began traveling the backroads and wilderness of Montana and the Rocky Mountain region and selling her photos professionally in galleries, shops, and online. She primarily searches for rural Landscapes, old barns, abandoned farmhouses, and occasionally wildlife she encounters. Her work as been featured in HGTV, Better Homes and Gardens, and featured in three books on emerging artists of the United States. She currently lives in Billings, Montana, and takes several trips during the year to gather new images.
