Utahs Rugged Spring Creek Canyon

Clear spring water winds its way through the narrow sandstone walls of Spring Creek Canyon along the Kanarra Falls Trail in Kanarraville, Utah. As the cool creek flows around weathered boulders and over smooth rocks, it naturally leads your eye farther into the heart of this beautiful slot canyon.

Rich shades of orange and red sandstone rise above the creek, creating a contrast against the green vegetation tucked into cracks and ledges throughout the canyon. Scattered boulders resting in the water serve as reminders that this rugged landscape is constantly being shaped by the power of flowing water and the forces of nature.

I captured this photograph where the sound of rushing water echoes through the canyon and every bend reveals another breathtaking view. Standing here, surrounded by towering rock walls and the refreshing spring-fed creek, was a wonderful reminder of the beauty that awaits those willing to venture beyond the trailhead.
