Piece description from the artist
A view with the Henry Mountains and clusters of snow on the landscape around the still bare Aspen trees. The sunlight adds a soft glow to the rows of trees. I captured this photograph from Vista Point near Boulder, Utah during the spring season in Fishlake National Forest. We was standing at an elevation of roughly 9,400 feet. You can even see a peek of the Waterpocket Fold of Capitol Reef National Park. A soft morning haze washes the mountains in cool blue tones, while lingering patches of snow can be seen on the peaks, offering a subtle reminder of winter’s fading presence. Scattered clouds drifting across the sky complete the scene, adding depth and balance to the vast landscape. This viewpoint is along the Scenic Byway 12, one of Utah’s most celebrated drives, known for its dramatic elevation changes, and unforgettable high desert views.
