Utah Desert Wilderness

A cool mesa formation with spires stand above the high desert landscape near Moab, Utah, creating a stunning desert scene in the heart of canyon country. I was drawn to the contrast between the rugged sandstone formation and the scattered desert plants that thrive in this harsh yet beautiful environment. This is near Hittle Bottom Campground and Mary Jane Canyon.

In the foreground, a weathered small fallen tree adds character and depth to the composition, naturally leading your eye toward the impressive mesa with hoodoos in the distance. The soft afternoon light casts a gentle haze across the cliffs, enhancing the warm red and orange tones while giving the landscape a peaceful, timeless feel.
