A old wooden barn, weathered and rustic, stands in the peaceful alfalfa prairies of rural Montana on a foggy morning. I love to capture the quiet mornings in the rural countryside. This morning was a beautiful sunrise, with the sun tinting the sky with a warm pink, and there was still dew on the delicate leaves of the Alfalfa. I like to think about all the sunrises this old barn has seen, and still in today's world, it is a safe place for wildlife that lives in the area.
Annie was born and raised in Montana, growing up on her family's ranch in the beautiful Smith River Valley. Growing up in Montana's wild and beautiful Landscape led to her deep love of nature and all things rural. Annie attended the Art Institute of Colorado and lived in Denver Colorado until the completion of her Interior Design degree in 2002. After working in that field for several years, Annie moved back to Montana and began her own business, focusing on her ever-growing love of photography. She began traveling the backroads and wilderness of Montana and the Rocky Mountain region and selling her photos professionally in galleries, shops, and online. She primarily searches for rural Landscapes, old barns, abandoned farmhouses, and occasionally wildlife she encounters. Her work as been featured in HGTV, Better Homes and Gardens, and featured in three books on emerging artists of the United States. She currently lives in Billings, Montana, and takes several trips during the year to gather new images.
