A peaceful and serene black and white long-exposure vertical photograph I captured while standing beneath the fishing pier in Orange Beach, Alabama, as the final light of sunset faded and evening settled along the Gulf Coast. The towering concrete pillars reach out into the water, creating a symmetrical perspective that leads the eye toward the distant horizon. The extended exposure transforms the rolling waves into silky, flowing patterns, giving the scene a peaceful, almost ethereal feel.

There was a quiet sense of calm beneath the pier, surrounded by the strength of the massive structure while the gentle tide continued its endless movement below.
