Twisted Juniper And Circle Algea Utah Grayscale

Piece description from the artist

I just love the cool twisted trees in Utah. A black and white photograph, this dead juniper tree has quite the unique character to it. The rock beside it has some cool round circles of algea known as elegant sunburst lichen, growing on it. The real name for the fungi, is Rusavskia elegans. I spotted this along the hiking trail to Upheaval Dome in Canyonlands National Park, near Moab, Utah, USA. Beautiful clouds fill the sky above adding a great contrast to the desert landscape of rocks, sand and desert sagebrush and plants.
