Twilight End Bill Emerson Bridge

Piece description from the artist

A peaceful pre-dawn moment beside the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, showcases the beauty of the Mississippi River during spring flood season. Captured during blue hour just before sunrise, the calm, reflective waters stretch toward East Cape Girardeau, Illinois on the opposite bank. The horizon starts to turn bold orange as the sun approaches. The bridge, completed in 2004 and carrying Highway 74, honors Congressman Bill Emerson and stands where the original 1929 bridge once did. This landmark structure was also featured in the 2014 film Gone Girl, adding to its cultural significance.
