Piece description from the artist
Vibrant tulips in shades of red, yellow, and purple create a stunning foreground to the iconic US Capitol dome in Washington DC. The carefully maintained tulip beds on the Capitol grounds offer one of the best spring displays in the city, typically blooming in mid-April after the famous cherry blossoms have faded. These colorful plantings can be found on both the east and west sides of the building, along with some in planters on the north and south sides, providing visitors with multiple vantage points to capture the classical architecture framed by these springtime blooms.
