Townscape 2

Piece description from the artist

A collage of my watercolor fragments was a study for this whimsical semi-abstract oil painting "Townscape 2". During the oil painting process, the "searchlight" form evolved, and it became an integral part of the design, and of the idea of the buildings in the town, perhaps being lit by a searchlight. This might add an air of mystery to the lighthearted color scheme and composition.
