Topaz Mill Trough In Fall

Piece description from the artist

A photograph looking down the along the side of a flume leading to Topaz Mill in Cabool, Missouri, United States, on a crisp fall season evening. Down below and beside it is a creek created from the natural Topaz Spring. The setting sun bursts rays through the trees, creating a radiant sun star sunburst. When this photograph was taken, the trough was blocked, leaving the channel dry. Built in 1895, the mill was historically powered by the natural Topaz Spring, which produces an astounding 8–10 million gallons of water per day. Today, it remains one of the most iconic and scenic Ozarks landmarks.
