In a room where silence knows no walls,
a vase stands still—
its throat holding a riot of flame.
Not fire as ruin,
but fire as memory,
each petal a whisper
of something once warm,
once spoken.
Orange arcs into gold,
gold fades into shadow—
a ballet of hues dancing
on the edge of forgetting.
There is sky here too,
restless and worn,
scraped with the knuckles of time
and streaked with longing.
Below, the world falls into blue—
not the blue of water,
but of depth, of thought,
of silence made visible.
Splinters of violet,
scratches of pitch—
the chaos beneath what blooms.
Yet still it stands,
this quiet rebellion of color,
this bloom born
from brushes not content with stillness.
It sings without sound,
blooms without soil,
a memory planted
in the rough hands of abstraction.
After having explored European landscapes and the feamle beauty, he experienced some abstract paintings. He rapidly found the pleasure of unlimited creative power. He has really become aware that he has started a never ending journey through imagination. People are now eager to see his new visions ! My name is Pol Ledent. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. Pol Ledent was born in 1952 in Belgium. He came to painting in 1989. He started with watercolor but felt rapidly that oil painting would match his way of being. He is a self-taught painter . Nevertheless he took some drawing lessons in a Belgian academy. After taking part into numerous group exhibitions , some galleries in Belgium proposed to him to exhibit his works. Dinant, Bouillon, Brussels , Paris and Moscow in October 2006. He has already sent many paintings to various countries USA ( New-York Buffalo Broadway ) , Santa Cruz,San Diego, San Jose,Los Angeles, Florida,Miami Baton-Rouge),Seattle, grand blanc (MI), to France, to China, to Scotland, to Portugual, to Switzerland, to Australia and ………. After having explored European landscapes and the female beauty, he experienced some abstract paintings. He rapidly found the pleasure of unlimited creative power. He has really become aware that he has started a never ending journey through imagination. People are now eager to see his new visions
As a young man , he went to the University of Louvain (Belgium) where he studied Philosophy and literature !
At the age of forty he took some drawing lessons at the technical school of Dinant( Belgium) for three years
He took part in exhibitions in Paris, Brussels (2 times) , Bouillon and Dinant ( 5 times) !
