This painting is inspired by a work by Turner. It is an anthropomorphic version of a ship whose components are all made of smaller ships. The ship is intended to appear like a great fish devouring its cargo.
John Cline is a Los Angeles based artist. He received his undergraduate degree from Otis College of Art and Design and a graduate degree from Claremont Graduate University.
