Teshuvah 2

Teshuvah

Piece description from the artist

“Teshuvah” 20” X 30” oil on canvas mounted to board. Teshuvah: to cleanse, renew, forgive, absolve what was and to renew afresh. In my painting you can see the female rising from the detritus represented by the opaque layer that is being washed away below, revealing a new day filled with life and new beginnings. Even the flowers are beginning to reveal themselves through the detritus.
