Terra Temporalis Redux, VI

Piece description from the artist

I've always been very connected to nature, particularly to trees and water.
As a child, I used to trace racoon tracks in the sand near the lake where I grew up.
I'd spend long hours hanging out in the woods exploring trails, examining moss, and climbing trees.
The Terra Temporalis series is based on my deep connection to nature as well as my growing concern for the environment.
The temporal aspect of the landscape is reflected in the materials I used for this series of pastel drawings.
Originally created on small, 6.5 × 8 inch pieces of recycled newspaper, the texture of the paper and the little bits of text that are visible give the work dimension and history.
