Here is a vibrant playground of intense color and bold composition expressing my view of the Tampa, Florida skyline with an exquisite rainbow. If I must pick a style, I'd say a sort of contemporary, modern, Pop Art but not really. It's really my own style.
The artwork measures 48H x 72W x 1.5D inches and is composed of 2 individual 48H x 36W" stretched canvases hung side by side. It is unframed with the painting continuing all around the edges, has all the needed hardware attached and is ready to hang on the wall. It can be un-stretched and rolled in a tube if preferred.
Sue Graef is an award-winning American artist, born in 1957 from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She currently lives in Clearwater, Florida. Growing up in the suburbs not far from New York enabled her to frequently visit the museums and art galleries, a large influence in her work.
Her works are vibrant acrylic landscape paintings on stretched canvas, lightheartedly expressing her vision of the world.
Graef has exhibited in venues across the United States including Amsterdam Whitney Gallery of New York, Gasparilla Festival of the Arts in Tampa, IDEA Museum of Mesa, AZ , Red Dot Miami, DISTRICT Arts in Maryland and Superfine Miami Beach. The Haegeumgang Museum recently acquired “Look Both Ways” in their permanent collection. Future exhibits include a solo exhibit at ARTIFACT Gallery, New York.
Graef's formal education includes Philadelphia College of Art, Tyler School of Art, Temple University, and Clemson University.
