This is one of my favorite wave paintings. I love, love, love painting waves and will always take a break from a series I'm doing to paint a wave or two. I wish I could tell you that they get easier with every painting I do, but they don't! Water is just hard to paint but the motion of it, the colors, the way the light hits it….I just can't get enough. I have thousands of photo references and my husband often says, "For God's sake Woman! How many more photos do you need to take!?" The truth is, I could take photos of waves all day, every day. I love that I split my time between living in both New England and California as being by the ocean is something I just need in my life.
