Table Rock Summer Shoreline Kimberling City

I captured this relaxing summer scene along the shoreline of Table Rock Lake in Kimberling City, Missouri, where the afternoon light filtered through a partly cloudy sky. A boat dock extends into the water on the right side of the photograph, while green vegetation grows along the edge and reaches into the shallows. I especially like the gentle wave rolling over the rocks, adding a little movement to an otherwise peaceful setting.

The combination of weathered shoreline rocks, blue water, greenery, and shifting clouds gives this photograph a wonderful sense of summer. The dock creates a natural line into the scene, while the small wave helps bring the foreground to life.

Table Rock Lake stretches across more than 67 square miles through the Ozarks of southwestern Missouri and northwestern Arkansas. Its proximity to Branson makes it a favorite destination for boating, fishing, swimming, and enjoying the outdoors. I love finding these quieter shoreline views that show another side of the lake beyond the busy recreation areas.
