Piece description from the artist
This painting was made when I had received a large container of gloss medium as a gift, and was experimenting with mixing the medium with acrylic paint.
This was also made around the time I was most interested in doing squeegee like effects, such as in the work of Gerhard Richter.
I was living in a rural area at the time, I would say the green in the piece is an homage to that.
The red in the piece reminds me of the color of play doh lids, which were certainly a favorite in my earlier years.
