Sunburst Over White Pocket Vermilion Cliffs Grayscale

Piece description from the artist

A brilliant sunburst in black and white illuminates the surreal landscape of White Pocket in Arizona, USA, as the clouds part just in time for sunset. Often described as “Mars on Earth,” this extraordinary location showcases swirling sandstone formations with unique shapes, ridges, and textures that appear otherworldly. The vibrant layers of rock create a natural masterpiece unlike anywhere else. Nestled within the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument on the remote Paria Plateau near the Utah border, White Pocket is a challenging destination to reach, requiring a high-clearance 4×4 vehicle. Its untouched beauty and remarkable geologic formations make it a true wonder of the Southwest, a breathtaking display of nature’s art that feels divinely crafted.
