Piece description from the artist
A black and white photograph I captured with a sunburst shining through the branches of a tall pine tree beside Devils Tower in northeastern Wyoming, USA. I love how the sunlight filters through the tree, creating a beautiful contrast with the massive stone monolith rising behind them. The sky and scattered clouds add depth to the scene.
Looking upward, you can really appreciate the unusual shape and towering presence of this famous landmark. The combination of natural framing, rugged rock textures, and glowing sunlight made this a memorable scene to photograph.
Located within Devils Tower National Monument, this cool formation stands approximately 867 feet above its base and is known for its distinctive vertical columns. Established in 1906 as America's first national monument, Devils Tower is an iconic Wyoming destination with deep cultural significance to many Native American tribes. It's a fascinating place to experience firsthand and capture through photography.
