Piece description from the artist
In this vertical black and white photograph, I captured a sun star sunburst beside the historic Topaz Mill in Cabool, Missouri, United States. Built in 1895, this iconic Ozarks landmark replaced an earlier mill from 1840 that was once powered by the natural Topaz Spring, which produces an impressive 8–10 million gallons of water daily. It was a beautiful fall season evening in the Ozarks. some trees still had foliage while others were already bare. This is part of the Mark Twain National Forest region in Douglas County.
