Summer's Song

This painting says summer to me! I love marshes and estuaries and this one spoke to me loudly and required a painting. The yellow green of the grasses was almost a chartreuse color and made my mouth water! The sky was a gorgeous shade of blue and the temperature was perfect, about 70 with a slight breeze. We were with some of our best friends enjoying a beautiful summer day and I think about that day every time I see this painting.
